Automotive Technician/Mechanic Needed
We are seeking an organized, dependable, knowledgeable Automotive Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you will inspect, diagnose, repair and perform general maintenance & diagnostics on American and Foreign vehicles, we do not service European vehicles, and make recommendations for automotive repairs and maintenance.
Candidate should be physically and mentally fit, have a solid knowledge of technical tools, and must have their own tools to perform the jobs as needed. Applicant must be able to keep their work area clean and take pride in their job. Must be a self starter that can work under pressure, and keep busy with a fluctuating work load.
As a qualified mechanic, you must have the ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical problems, and adhere to vehicle safety protocols.
Automotive Technician Duties and Responsibilities
• Check vehicles to ensure compliance with state inspection requirements
• Perform routine automotive maintenance, such as oil changes and tire rotations
• Identify pre-existing and potential vehicle malfunctions & Inspect vehicles for faulty parts
• Test vehicle parts prior to installation/repair
• Analyze and diagnose mechanical issues
• Create a plan of action for all repairs
• Follow checklists and protocols while conducting repairs
• Regularly clean and maintain tools and equipment
• Ensure a safe, organized, and tidy workspace
• Keep machinery/tools in good working condition
• Support coworkers and be a good team player
• Keep accurate records of completed and outstanding jobs
• Consistently meet deadlines for completed work
• Other duties as assigned
• Follow all health and safety laws and guidelines, as well as common sense safety practices
Automotive Technician Requirements and Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED required
• Associate’s degree or Vocational/trade school certification desired, but not required
• ASE Certification highly desired, but not required
• At least 3 years of previous experience in a related role
• Ability to work in uncomfortable, physically demanding positions, stand on one’s feet for prolonged periods, and lift up to 50 pounds at a time
• SMOG technician license a plus
• Proven mechanical acuity and basic math skills
• Familiarity and experience with various hand tools and common mechanic’s tools, service, and diagnostic equipment
Must have clean driving record, valid California License, and be able to pass a background check. Must be able to lift 50lbs, be able to squat/bend, and be able to work under a vehicle with minimal accommodation.

Pay TBD and will be commiserate with experience.
