Our client reached out because their living room was becoming almost unusable by noon. The intense afternoon sun was making the room baking hot, while years of UV exposure were taking a toll on their furniture.

Their existing windows also had a layer of window film that had developed a noticeable peeling appearance from long-term sun exposure — and it simply wasn’t providing the UV and heat protection they needed.

Our client didn’t want to replace their entire windows so we found an alternative solution. 👇🏻

✨ INSULATED GLASS UNIT REPLACEMENT

We kept their original window frames and precisely measured each opening for new Solarban 70 / Clear, Argon Gas-Filled Insulated Glass Units (IGUs).

The goal?

The difference was almost instantaneous.

The original IGUs were hot to the touch on both sides. After installation, the replacement IGUs were cooler on the interior side while remaining warm on the exterior layer — a noticeable difference when the afternoon sun is hitting the glass.

Our client called TT Glass & Windows to replace the condensated insulated glass units (IGUs) in their beautiful wooden casement windows.

Instead of replacing every window in the home, we were able to provide a more practical solution: replace the failed insulated glass units while preserving the existing wood window frames and surface grids.

We precisely measured each opening, fabricated the replacement insulated glass units to specification, and installed them onsite—giving these windows a fresh, clear view without compromising the existing character of the home. 🪟

We carefully:

✔️ Took precise measurements
✔️ Cut the replacement clear glass
✔️ Installed the new panes onsite
✔️ Reglazed everything with traditional window putty to maintain the original look
