SONAR Sober Organization of Bay Area Riders S.O.B.A.R. is a motorcycle riders group for people in or seeking sobriety that are in and around the greater bay area.

SOBAR is not a brand based organization. All make and models of motorcycles are welcome as are all motorcyclists and their passengers. Sobriety is not required but we ask that you abstain while joining our events.

Marvin Seppala, M.D., is the chief medical officer of Hazelden, a private not-for-profit alcohol and drug addiction treatment organization. I learned of four addiction-related deaths this weekend. Three were people I knew in Portland, Oregon, recovery circles and the fourth was Amy Winehouse.

A long time AA member was visited by the gost of a close friend and former member. "I gotta know", the AA member asked his friend, "Are there AA meetings in heaven?". "I have some good news and bad news about that." says the gost, "The good news is we do have meetings in heaven and the bad news is your chairing."

So a 20 dollar bill and a one dollar bill are hanging out in a wallet. The one dollar bill asks the 20 "Where have you been?" The 20 says "Oh you know, the store, the gas station, out to lunch etc...How bout you?" The one dollar bills says "Just one AA meeting after another :\"
