A policy that excluded imported vehicles from being spotlighted on Shark City Motorsports page . While we [the founders of Shark City Motorsports] still prefer domestic V8’s to imported 4 bangers, we think that we may have been a bit rash enforcing that rule. We now realize that it doesn’t matter if you drive Ford or a Honda, if you have a huge engine or a small 1.8L, if you prefer 16 va
lves to 32. We like the smell of burnt rubber, and high octane gasoline. We like the adrenalin rush you get in that 0-60 burst of ferocity, and this world is quickly becoming one with no place for people like us. So we need to stick together, united by a common goal, we can all share our passion for racing, together. We refuse to post any junk, we love restoration projects , and before and after pictures, but please, no riced out Honda’s, Acura’s, Toyota’s ect. If “JDM” Is in your vocabulary, don’t bother. This goes for domestic’s too, if you’re idea of buying parts for your car includes a trip to wal-mart, don’t bother. If you have body kits that are a different color than the rest of the car, don’t bother. If you have a 5’ rear wing on a front wheel drive car, don’t bother. Here is how you can get you’re car spotlighted on our page: Post a picture of you’re car on our wall, one picture is fine, but its always better to have multiple pictures from different angles. [NOTE: please, for f***s sake don’t “tilt” the camera to get an abstract angle for you’re car, it looks good 1% of the time, and looks absolutely re****ed the other 99%] Also, make sure that you have all mods (if any) listed. Also, any other info you would like listed as well, like what name you would like to go by an example is “Mikes Cobra”. Nicknames are fine, but please don’t try to use some s**t like “LiL x PuPPeTz Slammed teggy”. If no name preference is requested, we’ll use only you’re first name. Also, almost all of our pictures have some kind of Photoshop work done to them, we usually blur out the License plate, and any residential addressed that may be in the background, and crop the pic a bit. If you don’t have a way to do this you’re self. We will do it for your pictures at your request. Finally, this is how the review process goes; The five of us [the five founders] look at any and all pictures you have submitted, if the car is deemed worthy of being uploaded by the majority of us, the car will be spotlighted, if not, it will be denied. We will be fair and unbiased with you’re car, Looking at these three rules of thumb:
1) Is it clean?
2) Is it fast?
3) Does it look good? Number 1 and number 3 seem to be the same thing, but they’re totally different. A 1970’s Camaro might be really, REALLY clean, not a scratch on it, all original interior, and very little wear and tear, but it doesn’t take away from the fact that the car is hideous to look at.
