"I took my car in for a smog check to Quality Tune Up on McKee Rd. in San Jose early Saturday morning. When I called the night before, they said they take in customers on a first come, first served basis. I got there before they opened at 8:30 AM and there were already 3 people ahead of me. When they opened, they were pretty quick in taking care of people in line. Luis was the tech who took my info for my smog check. I shared with him that I had an appointment in an hour. He let me know that the smog check would take 30 minutes. I timed it as my experience with other places I've taken my car for a smog check often went longer than the time they quoted me.

True to his word, Luis came up to me in the customer waiting area and said that my car was ready...and there was still 2 minutes to spare on the estimated time he gave me.

I appreciate their professionalism and friendliness, and accommodating me given my timeframe. The cost for the smog check was pretty standard and would've cost me less if I had a coupon. I'll remember that the next time."
