1920s disgn Peters style u-joint. (Cleveland brand) A self contained u-joint using no metal bowls or leather covers to hold in lubricants and keep contaminants out. Heavy oil lubricates the plain brass bearings and needed to be lubricated every 5000 miles.

Take it easy on the chrome. Don't chrome the inner I.Ds where the u-joints sits and where there's going to be any slip travel in the transmission. That thin layer of chrome on those mating surfaces will cause u-joints and transmission tail housing bushing to fail prematurely that's if you even manage to get them installed. Save time, money and head aches. Tape them up.
