Well, this isn't a good way to end anyone's day...

First time customer had their car towed in after the engine suddenly stopped on the freeway. A quick inspection found this hole in the oil pan, caused by the rapid and unplanned departure of the connecting rod cap shown below. Yikes!

There are many reasons why an engine might fail in this manner, however the leading cause by a long shot is letting the engine run low/out of oil.

New engines are expensive, oil services are comparatively very cheap. Check and change your oil regularly, and if you need help give us a call...we are happy to help!
