⛽ A Piece of Derflinger’s Exxon History
Found a couple pieces from back in the day that brought back some memories.
One is an Exxon Service Award presented to Robert F. Derflinger, recognizing years of continuous business association with Exxon Company, U.S.A.
The other is a 1991 Exxon “Commitment to Excellence” award — complete with the old service-station artwork, Esso tanker, gas pumps and the kind of full-service station many people still remember.
Back then, a service station was more than a place to buy gas.
You knew your customers.
You took care of their cars.
You earned their trust.
And a lot of customers became friends.
That was Derflinger’s Exxon.
These old plaques may have some age on them, but they represent something that never gets old — hard work, good service, and taking care of people.
If you remember Derflinger’s Exxon, we’d love to hear from you.
What do you remember about the station?
