If you see flashing lights on the side of the road, whether it's a police officer or a tow truck, you have to move over.

Some people will look at this post and think, "So what? He was just a tow truck driver." (Or they will think worse. I've actually read comments that have been posted about other tow truck drivers who have been killed that have much more negative and demeaning thoughts/comments...but that's not really the point that I'm trying to make.) People will scroll through this post in their news feed as if it doesn't matter. But it does.

Because somewhere today, there is a family who will not have a father, brother, son, husband, uncle, or grandpa. There is a group of friends who is one now one short. There is a company missing an employee and co-worker. There is a community missing a person who helped other people. There is a hole in the circle of life. Something that happened way too soon, and unnecessarily.

But, more importantly, there is a person missing because he was killed. He went to work, and will not return home. Not today. Not ever.

Slow Down and Move Over. Pay attention when you're driving. Don't drive impaired or distracted. This is not the kind of phone call that any loved one wants to receive.

Terribly sad.
