The Fox Shop LLC Built in the 70's by Bill & Mary Fox as they moved W.B. Fox Garage. Renamed Fox Auto Service, their son, Harrell took over in 1979.

Almost 70 years later, it continues in the Fox/Owens family through his son-in-law and daughter, Lance and Jeana Owens.

GRADUATION. 👩🏼‍🎓

We will also be taking an early lunch at 11:30am on Thursday to attend her commitment signing to Lubbock Christian Cheer! We will return at regular time (1PM).

THANK YOU for understanding and allowing us all this time to celebrate her. We are so immensely proud of this girl who encouraged you for over a decade, over the radio, to call her Daddy to fix it all!

When we moved over to 19th to reopen The Fox Shop, we were sad to see we were unable to find the original gas pump, gifted to and restored by Harrell Fox, that proudly stood in that front corner. However, Leroy Clark gifted us one after searches for it came up empty. All we had to do was come pick it up and restore it. After several years, a terrible flood at Clark’s that submerged it, Lance and Jase (with the help of a few others), restored the gas pump to resemble the original one. It was revealed to Jeana for her birthday this year. The gas pump is back. We are so grateful for the generational friendship between the Clark/Smith & Fox/Owens families. Even though that original gas pump is still out there, the new one is more than a replacement. It’s a reminder that this life isn’t just full of struggles and hardships, but of great people, friendships, family and unanswered prayers that result in greater, bigger and better things. We hope you’ll come by and see it, and share in our overwhelming pride to have that empty corner, once again, show off that beautiful Texaco gas pump!

Many years ago, Leroy Clark at Clark's Auto Parts & Wrecker Service gifted Harrell Fox this gas pump to restore. It was his pride and joy walking into the shop. I’d told Lance about it for years because we all shared so much pride in it. My dad worked endless hours trying to do it justice.

Lance’s Grandfather, JV Owens, started out as a mechanic at Texaco, and eventually moved up the ranks to head up the area, even moving the offices closer so he could spend weekends at his Brontë Ranch. Lance’s dad, Richard, had an engineering degree and followed in his footsteps working as a pipeliner. As a kid, Lance’s mom, Mary, would buy Lance all the Texaco planes, trains and automobiles, and they filled the shelves of his childhood room. Similarly, I’d buy Texaco gas station/auto shop stuff for my dad for every holiday.

I always secretly hoped to be able to show Lance the Texaco gas pump Leroy gifted my Dad. Just another thing that bonded Lance and I. However, when we returned to the shop in 2022, it was one of the things that was missing (likely sold). Despite Wendy Clark-Smith and I looking for it, it was never found.
