(SOLD 2/6/26) Howling 25 to 35 mph winds swirling all around the Buoy 8 lot didn't stop this Shamrock Walkaround from being sold today! The buyer called us last night and made an appointment to meet Wally at Buoy 8 this morning and the deal went down! Shamrocks are one of my favorite boats due to their simple, effective design which began in 1971. This Shamrock is perfect for a weekend of fishing in the river or an overnight off-shore trip! Shown in this picture is the Shamrock right after Wally finished the detailing a few weeks ago.🍀

Snow, snow and more snow BUT that doesn't stop the serious boater! Buyer called us last night, I texted him 18 pictures of the Sea Fox and by 2:00 today, the paperwork was completed and the Sea Fox had left Buoy 8! It's that simple! Stop by Buoy 8....the ice is melting and the boating season is underway!

Successful sea trial and closing today on this 2005 Sea Hunt 186 Escape (shown in previous post). Despite the fact that it is a 20 year old boat, the Yamaha 4 stroke motor only has 200 hours on it and a very good cmpression check. This, along with a 2023 Load Rite trailer and Wally's exceptional inside and outside detailing, led to this Sea Hunt's short lived stay on our Buoy 8 lot!

VERY CLEAN is just one of the features of these three new listings at Buoy 8 this past week! The 2004 Hurricane 218 Deck Boat is powered by a 150 hp Yamaha 4 stroke with 384 hours on it. The seats have always been covered with canvas snap on seat covers! (SOLD 8/2/25) A few years ago we toured 4 NC factories in one day, including the KenCraft factory in Wilson. KenCraft was sold in 2024 and the boats are now built and sold under the name of Bay Rider. This 19' KenCraft 1996 Challenger is powered by a 115 Suzuki 2014 with under 400 hours. Wally washed and cleaned the inside and outside and waxed the hull this week. He was impressed with the great condition of this Challenger which is "sparkling!"

(SOLD 7/10/25) This 2012 Key West has found her family just in time to enjoy many summer and fall days on the water (including the "dog days of summer July 3 - August 11)! A couple of days ago Mom and Dad stopped by Buoy 8 to look at a fishing boat, saw the Key West and decided it would be better suited for their family for sunning and tubing! AND, there's also plenty of room in the cockpit for Dad to fish! Thanks for choosing a boat from Buoy 8 for your family!

The Summer of the Scout! The new owners saw the Scout at Buoy 8, made an offer, went on a sea trial, finalized the sale, hooked up the trailer and they were gone! Two days later, they headed across the Bay and their summer of the Scout began!
