41 flatty with 49 engine this was my dream bike when I was young .. dad had the 46 flathead servicar and any d had a if I recall correctly a 47 solo flathead it had narrow glide front end it was orange and black … ever since then It was my goal to have a flathead solo one day .. bc of my wife’s support that happend .. can’t thank her enough

What a weekend but I’m a firm believer everything happens for a reason … didn’t intend on getting rid of 3/4 of this chopper. But that’s what happend and it went to an older cat who has been dying for a long skinny chop .. never thought any one would say I don’t want wheels , seat , bars , risers , foot controls , and belt drive primary but that’s how it went down .. tore the front end off to stuff in bike in his caravan … it was a pleasure to meet such a respectful, genuine, honest guy … glad the new owner wasn’t a it’s all about me and screw everyone else type of guy like the one who had it before me .. at the end of the day everything worked out as it should’ve I yanked the 59 panhead engine and transmission to build an flh panhead that me and my rock , my best supporter , my beautiful wife can enjoy riding together… the older and wiser I get … the more important a tight circle is way better than a large circle with holes in it !! Cancer has thought me every day is a great day to be alive and surrounding yourself with good , honest , people , who care and got your back is priceless …

Shovelhead Saturday… little black powdercoat on 1982 fx frame .. coated red frame few weeks ago for my father in laws 1982 fxr , the green chop frame been done few months … gonna wrap up 76 shovel chopper and 82 fxr … on to the 4th shovel engine rebuild this year .. in the mix been trying to Mach up 59 fl build … # Harley Davidson shop therapy # no head better than a pan / shovel head 😎

Just finished up this sporty chop . Went from frame in 2 pieces to complete in the past 5 weeks … was first time I used prismatic powders brand powdercoat … riding season is coming get your Harley in for inspection, service , parts new and have some used parts available.. ordering from drag specialties , s&s cycle , parts unlimited, v-twin , mid-USA , rc components and many more 1-2 times per week …

Lots of cleaning , blasting , painting , powder coating …. 2 shovelhead engines and evo sporty .. cams , valve jobs , little porting and polishing … haven’t posted much lately but have been asked a lot lately what going on at shop … well that’s what’s happening…. What I enjoy more than anything reviving these old Harley’s …. Season is coming quick … I’m ordering parts 1-2 times a week , did some inspections already , a few services …. As of today 12-8-25 Alley Katz hours will be Monday - Thursday 8AM - 5PM. closed to public Friday - Sunday... After lengthy talks with my multiple physicians ... In order to keep my health condition my top priority the hours , days and some other new changes will be taking place .. Will continue doing , tires, brakes, oil changes , minor repairs, maintenance ,welding and light fabricating. As always , we appreciate your business and continued support!!!

Happy thanksgiving .. hope everyone got to enjoy some good grub and time with friends and family .. we spent afternoon at farm with my mother and father in law … as always great grub , homemade pies (a wide variety as usual) , some good conversation and some laughs !! That’s what it’s all about .. one thing cancer has taught me is treasure every day, moment, second you can with your family and loved ones ..

Every once in awhile dog gets a bone .. very pleased with the internals of this 76 shovel trans .. the forks and the hats have very minimal wear .. gears all tight and right .. this could be a great sign that the engine internals looking like low miles .. maybe just freshen up top end and a cam while it’s apart for gaskets case blasting and all the cosmetics that go along with it .. question is throw this in the chopper chassis , throw a short stubby hardtail together or swing arm .. only time will tell
