We put a new IPR valve in took it on a test drive with oil temperature. About 80°, all the way up to 210. The engine never did do a engine miss like it did before. The injection control pressure stayed fairly close to actual.
This customer will be happy.And we will send him on his way.

We all remember the 15 duramax, with some fuel injection pressure problems got back on it. Today customer gave okay to do some more time on. It decided to pull the fuel filter and just see what was in it. We was thinking we was going to find some metal stuff, but nope straight gasoline. Yep, gotta make sure which diesel pumps. You pull up to and don't put gasoline in, put diesel in.

This is one of those trucks that is not throwing 1 code to tell you which direction to go. so it comes down to knowledge and what you have done on past trucks with similar situations.
We are gonna be putting a IPR valve in tomorrow morning and taking it for another test drive to See If Anything Changes in That Direction.

We are thinking the injection pump left the chat. But I guess we'll find out tomorrow morning when we talk to the customer and what he would like us to do.

I don't think the ac system in this car has ever been touched from day one, but who knows. The cabin air filter is original, so we know that's never ever been touched.

No more dipsticks on these trucks. You get to fill the fluid where the through a little hole on the bottom of the transmission PAN, how nice of them
