K-N Automotive is in need of experienced and reliable Automotive Technicians!

At K-N Automotive Repair, we specialize in all makes and models. We are looking for strong service Technicians who will be responsible for performing vehicle repair and maintenance work as assigned. They will also oversee the work of any apprentice technician assigned to him/her and provide exceptional service.

Full-time $30-35/hr DOE

Hours M-F 9:00am-6:00pm
Saturday 9am-1pm

Responsibilities:

Diagnoses and repairs to specifications -- brake and hydraulic, exhaust, primary and/or advanced fuel ignition and electrical, suspension and alignment, air conditioning and computer systems.
Adequately explains technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals that may include employees and customers on an as-required basis.
Keeps store management aware of mechanical repair problems as they occur.
Maintains an organized neat and safe bay
Own tools recommended.
Examine the vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is required.
Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
Diagnose cause of any malfunction and perform repair.
Ensure that customer's cars are kept clean.
Understand and follow federal, state and local regulations, such as those governing disposal of hazardous wastes.
Road-test vehicles to quality-check work performed.
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:

Must be 18 years or older and be authorized to work in the U.S
High School Diploma or equivalent
Ability to read and comprehend job-related instructions and information whether electronic or paper-based.
ASE certification preferred.
General mechanical skills.
Excellent manual dexterity skills as well as patience, creativity, good judgment and an eye for detail.
Valid in-state driver's license.
