This Memorial Day, we’re honored to share something meaningful from inside the Industrial Injection family.
Industrial Injection employees Dustin & Nicole Hembury’s son, Tallon, was recently selected as one of the Grand Prize Winners in the Utah State Board of Education’s “Celebrating America’s 250th Birthday” scholarship contest.
His essay reflected on sacrifice, freedom, and bravery, and what those ideals mean to him as a young American. Because of his winning entry, Tallon has now advanced to a national selection where he could ultimately earn a trip to the White House.
With Memorial Day upon us, we thought this was a meaningful reminder of what this weekend is truly about.
One line from Tallon’s essay stood out to us:
“To some, the flag is just cloth, but to me, it represents freedom, opportunity, and unity.”
And another:
“Their dedication keeps America a place of hope and opportunity.”
No matter your background, Memorial Day is a time to remember the men and women who sacrificed so future generations could live with the freedoms we often take for granted.
Congratulations, Tallon. Your Industrial Injection family is proud of you, and we’ll be cheering you on in the national selection.
