This business is still active though I haven’t posted much. Recently I sold a 1995 24V Alfa Romeo 164S for what I’m told is a record high. And sold this Jeep J10 Golden Eagle for my good friend Mr. Aguero in less than 12 hours for near full price. I think the economy is hurting much more than people are letting in, but there is still fun recreational spending and investments in these old vehicles, occurring. While my business is fairly small, on average the margins have been fairly astounding. That mostly comes with experience though. What to pick what to sell or assist with sales of as a consultant. For example, the vehicles on my stories today will take at least a decade to appreciate further and would need to be stored inside. They are also awesome but kooky, so really for just enjoying and not losing too much $$ on. Sort of like low-yield savings. Other than maybe the Porsche 944.

This stuff sure is fun.

It’s been ****snowing*** even down here in the valley of Salt Lake. There is already 200+ inches in the mountains, most than what what Vermont usually gets in a year. Such a freakish, wet, cold, high moisture year. Photo of the collective, just for your enjoyment… 🙂🙂

Selling my ultra clean higher miles Dodge turbo diesel tow rig. Bone stock other than the larger tires (less than 1000 miles), a bigger exhaust, and the 5th wheel hitch. Great shape in and out and the Cummins is in perfect shape with zero blowby. Message for details. Thx!

Just barely wrapping up my this transaction, a gorgeous 1964 Porsche 356B to in Pennsylvania. I’m very excited about it and I absolutely love these vintage Porsches.

Final post of the day. This is a 1988 ultra rare also acquired as a parts car (or possible racer) via in Chicago and hauled to here in Salt Lake. Fun! This is the rare 3.0l and the limited slip transaxle. It was largely rebuilt 14 years sgo but was abandoned by the owner, unfortunately, and just rotted in the sun. The parts bolt into the to make it spec as this is a spec car, also with interior by Alfa. I will personally be pulling this one apart (or possibly get it running soon). TBD. Fun!!

Another Alfa acquired today, a 1987 Alfa Romeo GTV6 dedicated race car. Originally intended for racing in but it’s so well done that we got word that they’ll even let it into vintage racing into class 12. It will be funny and poorly performing (perhaps) as class 12 is competitive. But should be fun. It’s been upgraded with the bits and engine from a Milano Verde (see my other post coming soon) which is a 3L and a limited slip transaxle with a cooler. It’s very well sorted. Fun!! It’s a remarkable piece of work. See saved stories for YouTube tours of this car, Mike Besic / who built the car in Chicago along with his brother, and more. I’m ecstatic about it. It should be moved to here in Utah we think and possibly raced in October in Class 12 for vintage as it’s first race. Fun!!

This Alfa is going to a friend/partner for addition to his amazing personal car collection in Allentown, PA and I’m ecstatic about it. See his collection at .com . This one is personally my dream car but out of my reach versus other priorities right now. Tears my heart out and a life goal (among many others) is to own this car, some day. It’s one of the cleanest I’ve seen, complete bare-metal resto in 2014, and only 46k original miles. Engine and trans were also gone through and rebuilt, mostly for no reason at all. What a car. As part of our deal I’ll own it someday, I estimate, once I find him his dream Porsche 356. I’m now hunting for him!

This link is absolutely relevant and spot on. I love the thoughtfulness of it all. I once met a Breaking Bad (and BCS) senior producer and she said Albuquerque and the cars are all “characters and are cast, just like the cast and characters themselves” as parts of the narrative. Albuquerque is literally a senior character in the show. And so are the cars.

From classic to relics of history, each automobile in the ‘Breaking Bad’ prequel has a story

Just sharing: the last great Saab - their 9-5 flagship model, last year made, and this one is absolutely gorgeous. And one of truly one of the last. No direct affiliation bit I'm happy to pass the info. 12,200 original miles. All wheel drive, turbp V6 for 300 HP, asking $28,500. Two sets of wheels (as seen on 19"), almost like a new car. Entertainment is updated to 2020 spec, and small cormetoc flaws currently being corrected before sale. Located in Colorado, USA.

I evaluated this 2005 RV this morning for an east coast client who it won’t work for. It’s a haulmark RV from Arizona (chassis ultra ultra clean, interior and storage very good) and is decently updated and about 58k miles. Has a 10’ garage (smart car, motorcycles, bunk house, garage for tools, etc) in the back with an overbuilt 1600 # lift gate. So too small for a race car. But awesome. Happy to pass along the into and thoughts and more for anyone interested. It’s in Salt Lake. Supposedly this is one of the cheapest one of these / best deals in the country. Needs nothing though a light cosmetic refresh would be good at some point. Technology (tv, etc) has mostly already been updated. Tow capacity is insane (it’s literally a big rig) and it has air brakes for a stacker style trailer (seller has one of these too - not for sale, but gorgeous) as needed for multiple race cars etc. The 2005 models are nice as they are pre DEF. Price is about $140k - I don’t know a ton about them but I think they’re around a half million new and higher.
