Might I Opine:
Well, tonight’s the night, and I’m not talking about a Rod Stewart song. We’ve heard this a couple of times before but there’s something different about tonight, this time Joey has lost a large portion of his cheerleader section, and some of them will be among those who are asking the questions.
Tonight is the much anticipated press conference, or oddly enough as the White House has said his “big boy press conference.” People said before the debate that Joe was going to need a stellar performance to stay in the race, and yet he persisted. Then the other day was his address to NATO, people said the same thing, that he needs to have a speech that reflects perfection. And then he read his stage instructions off the Teleprompter.
Now here we are days later, he continues pushing forward and his staff continues to prepare for their marionette show. If the White House allows for the press conference to be open to all of the journalists there, and not just a few pre-chosen, we are going to see a press conference like we’ve never seen before. I believe the very first question will set the tone, and it will not be friendly. We’re going to watch a press conference that will be reminiscent of the days of Trump in regards of the tone and demeanor of the press towards the president.
Oddly enough today, July 11, has historical significance, and it seems that his administration would see the symbolism and would’ve chosen a different day. First today is the day that the dual was held between Alexander Hamilton and Aaron Burr and secondly, prior to Joe running for president, we all watched the video of Joe Biden saying that you couldn’t go into a 7-Eleven unless you had a slight Indian accent followed by and I’m not kidding.
Joe has always been a disaster, but he was the Democrats’ disaster and they embraced him. I believe tonight we will watch the most spectacular breakup in the history of politics, so grab your popcorn and enjoy the show. (DL)
