Please help this local Concord-Kannapolis baby boy to find his Bone Marrow Match!!!
Thank you for joining us in Jaxon’s Journey to find a Bone Marrow match!
Jaxon has Chronic Granulomatous Disease (CGD) is an inherited primary immunodeficiency disease (PIDD) which increases the body's susceptibility to infections caused. He needs a bone Marrow transplant to replace his current immune system so that he can fight off bacteria and fungus and live a normal life. Currently Jaxon can not be exposed to outside elements. This disease puts him at great risk for illness and makes him susceptible to bacteria that his body can not fight off. He has been hospitalized many times due to this aliment and is at great risk because it is very hard for him to fight off the things we easily get over. Without a bone marrow transplant the hematologist has told us he will not live to see double digits.
