Built for work. Restored for the road—and finally heading home.

The Chevrolet Apache was born in an era when a pickup was expected to earn its keep: hauling feed, tools and building materials, making deliveries, and handling the daily demands of farms and small businesses.

Part of Chevrolet’s 1955–59 “Task Force” generation, these trucks helped bring more style and comfort to the working pickup. The Apache name identified Chevrolet’s light-duty line beginning in 1958, alongside signature features such as the wraparound windshield, bold dual-headlight front end and available small-block V8 power.

Now this beautifully restored Apache gets to go home to owners who will drive her on the farm—and everywhere else they can dream of taking her.

She isn’t being put away. She’ll keep on keeping on, making memories and turning heads for many years to come.

Not just an old truck. A piece of American working history with a long future still ahead.

Daily Restoration Thought:

A guide coat might seem like an unnecessary extra step, but it can reveal low spots, scratches, pinholes, and uneven areas your eyes may miss.

The paint job is only as good as the surface underneath it. Finding the problem while you’re still blocking is a whole lot better than seeing it after the clear goes on.

What little bodywork step do you think makes the biggest difference in the finished product?

Check out this ’48 panel wagon! This has been an ongoing shop project, and the owner is getting ready to show up in style while keeping the history behind the original logo alive.

Painted these wheels from Steel Wheel and man, did they turn out good! It won’t be much longer before you see this cruising around Salina!

Meet Tyson! His passion for cars started at just 13 years old, working on hot rods before eventually shifting into the tuner-car scene. He loves wiring cars and has a serious obsession with Corvettes.

Tyson inherited a 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air four-door hardtop that he enjoys driving, and he’s looking forward to restoring his 1976 Corvette. He’s been married to his supportive wife for 15 years, and they have a 14-year-old who couldn’t care less about cars—computers are much more his speed!

All around, Tyson is a fantastic guy who’s fun to be around, easy to talk to, and always down to shoot the s**t.

This beast is headed into a 1963 Lincoln Continental. Classic looks with some serious modern horsepower underneath.
