About a week ago, I drove our child out to Seattle to help them move. On the first day of the drive, we had car problems. Not once, but twice. We stopped in Lawrence to get it ‘fixed,’ only for it to happen again in Salina which is about 3 hours away from home. We stopped at Channel Ridge Auto Repair, and a kind soul named Glenn fixed our car. All we needed was three washers. He fixed it for free. This was a simple act for Glenn, but what felt like life saving for us, and we don’t feel like there’s any way we can repay or convey our immense gratitude.

So meet a 7-8 week old chihuahua puppy, that was on Facebook, and taken in by an animal advocate. To the animal advocate, it was nothing. To this baby chihuahua, it was everything. He was covered in so many fleas his gums were pale, and he was becoming anemic. She has bathed him, rid him of the fleas, and found him placement in Pawportunities. We are naming him Glenn, as he served as a wonderful reminder that small acts make big differences. And hopefully this will somehow karmically manifest a good gesture Glenn’s way.
