The Duster is finally done! The only thing left is the black 340 stripe that runs along the side of the car. That’ll need to wait another 4–6 weeks to give the paint plenty of time to cure before it’s installed.

I did a two-day shakedown test and put about 50 miles on it. Everything is running great, and she’s ready to head back home this week.

I have to say, this car turned out great. I may even be a buyer myself if the owner ever decides to sell. 🤞

Now for a little bit of an announcement…

Unfortunately, this Duster will be my last customer restoration. After nearly few years of building Javelin and restoring cars for customers, I’ve decided to step away from customer-based restoration work.

The reason is a good one: I’ll be relocating to Charlotte, NC, after receiving a job opportunity that I simply couldn’t turn down.

Once I get settled in North Carolina, I may transition Javelin into something a little different—buying cars, doing my own restorations, and then selling them rather than taking on customer projects. We’ll see where this next chapter takes me.

For now, I’ll continue posting my work and projects as I go. Besides, I still have my dad’s Mustang to finish. 😁

To everyone who has followed me over the last few years since I started this journey: thank you. Thank you for supporting my work, sharing my posts, recommending the business, offering information and advice, and following along with all of these builds.

I truly appreciate every one of you.

This may be the end of customer restorations, but it’s definitely not the end of the cars.

Until next time. ✌️

Another very happy customer. 👌 I enjoy seeing these kind of messages related to the cars I've worked on.

Engine is installed back in and fired right up the 1st try. Given the adter market efi I had to remove and reinstall, making sure its goes back in the same place was a challenge. But its done and looks great. We cleaned up the wiring better to make it look less clutter because of the EFI stuff.

Buzz down the front fenders and shes ready for paint.

Heres a few more out in the sun. She's headed home.
