LATE POST: However, after several years of not being able to obtain a title on my Willys Wagon .. Yesterday ( Tuesday 2.1.22) the title processes is finally been complete. Now all I am waiting on is the title to arrive which will be several weeks out - which is ok as far as I'm concern.
The current situation with the donor vehicle (1996 GMC Jimmy) is to get it situated and running normal. Added a few small parts and changed some of the vacuum lines.
After surgery next week (Feb 8th) when I'm given the green light to work normal by my doctor. The next major task is to remove the body from the chassis of the donor. Plans are to rebuild the transmission and go through the engine. Going to improve both engine and transmission components to freshen up the drivetrain. Plans are to shorten the chassis by 3" to meet the Willys wheelbase. I am going to change all suspension parts with poly bushings to increase the life of the suspension. Rework the brake system and replace the fuel tank with a large aluminum (no specs at this time) until I get to the chassis of the Jimmy. I do not plan on removing the chassis under the Willys Wagon until the donor chassis is complete (this will take some time and money) to completed this task.
