This M3 Comp started its journey to sonic performance last fall, when its driver lucked upon a Bimmertech 10ch DSP amp, sub amp, and 10” sub package from a car being sold. He had us integrate it, and, as the amps are re-badged Match amps, we fired up their PC Tools interface and tuned it. This got him better sound but still not what he was wanting, particularly in regards to the bass.
To that end, Phase II sees us adding a K2 Evo 12” sub in a vented enclosure designed and built in-house. A Mosconi 1kw One series amp will handle that task, fed from the Match’s processed sub out. The entire front stage gets a similar upgrade through Focal’s vehicle specific Inside program. The underseat 8”s get replaced with 2ohm Insides, and re-assigned as midbass, the center gets an Inside coaxial, and the doors get the K2 versions of the Inside components. This let us then go in and really tune it, as we now have much better speakers to work with. The results were substantial enough that client now realizes he needs to stream proper lossless files, as he heard the difference between them and the more common data-compressed versions of songs. He told us “Thanks! The system was the one thing about this car that I didn’t like. You fixed it for me!” That’s what it is all about.

Acoustic tuning, surveillance van style!
The owner of this Transit has assembled himself a nice roster of gear over the last year, and has performed his own install. He did want us to tune the Aero 8|12 DSP, though.
Since the van only has the front seats, Zach decided to get out of the way and away from interruptions. He set up the widescreen, MAX, and everything inside the van! Sometimes we're not sure if he's all there, if ya know what we mean.

The owner of this 2009 Camry had availed herself of a Wireless CarPlay update this past summer. Now it was time to address the speakers, as the stock ones had dry rotted and the rattling was driving her nuts! Focal's Inside series 6x9 components matched size and footprint of the stock fronts, while their Universal brothers took care of the rear slots. The result is much improved sound off of the stock amplifier, performed in an afternoon.

Mercedes is pulling the plug on their "mbrace" smart phone integration service on December 31st. The 3g technology it runs on is being discontinued by cellular providers and they apparently don't have more modern transceiver to replace it with.
Amplified Autosports to the rescue! We can integrate CompuStar's Drone, which would give you remote start and tracking options through Apple and Android phones. If you have a vehicle that uses that app, and are not wanting to lose this functionality, get with us.

When our client asked about this vehicle, our salesman Zach actually paused, looked puzzled, and asked him back "I'm guessing that's a Japanese market vehicle? I've never heard of that one!"
For those that aren't familiar with them, the Acty is a series of "kei" light trucks and vans that Honda sold in Japan back in the day. And yes, the steering wheel is over on the "wrong" side!
We left that where it was, but we did convert the dash to hold one of the same KENWOOD DMX 809s eXcelon decks that we'd just put into the guy's F-150.

Another dashboard rescued from lack of technology. We updated this non-CarPlay 2020 F-150, and retained the existing features like steering wheel controls and the ever-critical back up camera.
