That little torn CV axle boot may not seem like a big deal… until all the grease leaves the joint, dirt and water get in, and your axle fails at the worst possible time.

This vehicle came in with a torn CV boot during a previous inspection. Preventative maintenance was declined at the time, and unfortunately the axle eventually failed completely — leaving the vehicle disabled and needing a tow.

At Dave’s Automotive Repair, we believe inspections matter because small problems can quickly turn into expensive breakdowns, inconvenient towing bills, and lost time.

Sometimes preventative maintenance isn’t about “upselling” — it’s about preventing a bad day.

If your vehicle has clicking noises while turning, grease around the inside of the wheel, or torn axle boots, don’t ignore it. Catching it early can save you money and keep you safely on the road.

Dave's Automotive Repair, LLC Not everything always goes to plan, unless your plan is to use integrity no matter what. This Lexus IS350 C had a radio that needed a factory replacement. The soft foam like dash was unfortunately damaged during the job. We got a brand new dash assembly from the dealership. We pulled the damaged one out, changed over components and replaced with new! Integrity first!
