WHAT IF IT DOES WORK OUT? 💗⚓️
I’ve been thinking about those words ever since I left the Amplify Women Tampa Bay Summit — Navigators of Change:
Women at the Helm. What an experience. Two days surrounded by women from completely different worlds with sports, technology, cryptocurrency, cybersecurity, mental health, entrepreneurship, leadership and the arts and somehow, so many of our stories connected.
We talked about success. We talked about fear. We talked about exhaustion. We talked about starting over. We talked about taking chances when you have absolutely no idea where they’re going to lead. We laughed and cried together. And we talked about what it really means to be at the helm of your own life. But before anything else,
I need to recognize the woman who brought us together: Nicole Waters. Nicole, thank you.
Thank you for inviting me into this room, for asking me to sponsor, for giving me the opportunity to share my story at the VIP dinner, and most importantly, for creating a space where women could genuinely find one another. You didn’t just put on an event. You created connection. And boy, did I find it. ❤️
One of the most unexpected moments happened when I listened to Dr. Sandra Braham speak and was completely moved by her story only to discover that she is the mother of Jordan, one of our own Well Played crew members!
What are the chances? She signed a copy of her book, An Angel for Detroit, for me, and it perfectly captured something I felt throughout this entire experience: Women aligning in the most unexpected places. There were so many messages from these women that I’m still carrying with me.
Start anywhere. Pay attention to the mental, emotional and physical exhaustion that can come with being a high achiever.
To every woman I met, listened to, laughed and cried with, learned from, exchanged information with, or simply smiled at across the room, I see you.
Keep turning the wheel. Keep making room for the next woman. Keep bringing someone else along. Keep saying yes. And maybe instead of asking ourselves: What if it doesn’t work?
What it it DOES ✨
