I did skip a few steps since my last progress pictures. I painted the door jambs on doors and insides of fenders so they could be installed for last time as shown in previous photos!

Got to some work this summer! Did the bodywork on the passenger side, and got it in some polyester surfacer. Sprayed it in two parts, my lil baby conpressor can't keep up! Looks pretty good in black.

Worked on the GS a lil this week. Painted insides of the fenders with leftover Magnet Paint Chassis Saver. I got the inner wheel wells etched using PPG metal cleaner and metal conditioner(part #'s in photos). If you've never used these products, they are the go to for keeping your car/parts corrosion free in future.

Step #1: Blast metal or strip using conventional sanding.
Step #2: Spray on metal cleaner. Let soak for 2-3mins saturated. Rinse with water(Yes! Water) and dry.
Step #3: Spray on metal conditioner. Let soak for another 2-3mins saturated. Rinse again with water. Dry.
Step #4: Coat with DP epoxy primer within 24hrs. If not applied within 24 hrs, you must lightly scuff surface with a red scotch brite pad before applying epoxy primer.

Got the interior all prepped for paint. I'm not doing the roof at this time, that will be another post in future. This DP90 was sprayed in the late summer of 2018. It was hard as a rock. I sanded with 180, wire brushes(harbor frieght $5) and 3M medium sanding pads #2606. I will be coating it with Magnet Paint's Chassis saver. This is the same product that is on my frame. Super hard, and cost efficient. I will post pics of this finished when the time comes. Most likely over weekend.

After mounting the hydroboost, the shift cable/linkage was the next step. I bought a Lokar kit that is supposed to attach a shift cable to the orig 2 speed steering column. After figuring out that this wasn't gonna work as a bolt on, I started to improvise... I used a section of a bracket that came with the kit (after shortening it and bending it to allow the shift cable move easily). I bolted it to the hydroboost to hold the cable. It is all mocked up now, and grabs all the gears on the 4L80E as it should(I was worried I wasn't gonna be able to grab low).
