2 more cars that were on their way to the scrap yard, donated to our junk flip for charities program. After repairs both were sold and $1000 was left on the top for charity. $500 went to a local family and $500 will go to St.Jude....If you have something laying around that you think could possibly be fixed and flipped for charity. Car Culture, what you see and what it should be. In my experience as I have navigated this field, you see alot folks that stand on top of their work looking down on everything and everyone around them, as if they are Chip Foose. Nothing against Chip because I follow his work and he is one of the best. But rarely do you see people offering support to fellow enthusiast. Whether it be help or advice in a technical area of the field, or just words of encouragement regardless of what your personal opinion is in regard to someone elses work. Truth is a majority of us get into this game because it offers us a place of escape and a way to express ourselves. An art form if you will. Car culture should represent a collective group of people that offer support to all who seek, regardless of status. So if you are a builder young or old and seek a platform to get advice on your current projects. Custom build or service wise. Feel free to ask away here. No judgment or bu****it. Just people helping people.

In honor of may being Mental health awareness month I just wanted to drop a short post to bring awareness. As someone who has battled symptoms of PTSD most my life. I know all too well what the struggle is like. Like many I found great refuge within Sports and Cars. Spending 25+ years now as a Service Technician and Custom Car builder/enthusiast, getting lost in a project was and still is my escape during rough spots. To all my fellow builders out there in the shops. Take care of yourselves, find someone to confide in. You matter, there is always a way to overcome, and tomorrow is always a new day.

~Half of all people will have experienced some form of mental illness or mental health struggle by age 40.
~1 out of every 5 people you meet are battling something.
~8% of all adults will suffer major depression at some point.
~1% will be diagnosed with one of the more server forms of mental illness.

We will be kicking off the summer with our usual hand up initiative. If you have a broken down vehicle or anything mechanical for that matter, trucks, motorcycles, boats etc.. even parts. Before scrapping it shoot us a message. We buy, repair, and sell them. Then donate the proceeds to local charities and organizations. One persons pile of junk can be a blessing to someone out there, so don't toss it without giving us a shout first!!
