Thank you to everyone who attended the Blessing of the Fleet on Wednesday!

The Blessing of the Fleet is a tradition that began centuries ago in Mediterranean fishing communities. The practice began predominantly Catholic, but is now practiced by all Christians. Our blessing was led by local Pastor Rob Blumer, and is meant to ensure a safe and bountiful season.

It was a beautiful day to be on the water and support our boaters!

Blessing of the Fleet on Dataw Island
The Blessing of the Fleet is a tradition that began centuries ago in Mediterranean fishing communities. The practice began predominantly Catholic, but is now practiced by all Christians as a blessing from the local Priest or Pastor that is meant to ensure a safe and bountiful season.

It was a beautiful day to be on the water and support our boaters at the Dataw Island Marina. Thank you to everyone who attended!
