The irresistible charm of an H1 6.7L Cummins Hummer is undeniable. While they might have once been equipped with the less desirable 6.2L and 6.5L IDI engines, the H1's appearance, capability, and captivating military-derived aura render it endlessly attractive. For devoted enthusiast Steve Ortner, who has curated a modest collection of H1s, replacing the original, underpowered diesel engines is a non-issue. Among his fleet, which includes a vertical wall-scaling 2-door version with a Cummins powerplant and an LSX 454-equipped model, Ortner has recently completed the transformation of a '94 H1 that has excitedly set the diesel industry.

This fierce H1 boasts a 12-valve Cummins engine, sporting a 6.7L block and a 14mm P-pump, augmented by substantial compound turbochargers, culminating in an estimated power output of around 1,500 horsepower.
