2008 29’ Chaparral 290 Signature express cruiser in truly excellent condition with low hours. This Chaparral comes from a history of quality family boating with a focus on fit and finish, ergonomic comfort in the cockpit and cabin spaces, luxurious appointments with teak and holly wood sole in the cabin, solid surface countertops and stainless steel appliances in the galley.
Her low hours (260) twin Mercruiser MCM 5.0L SeaCore 270 hp engines provide great performance and coupled with Mercruiser Seacore Bravo 3 duo prop drives control and docking ease due to the thrust advantage of duo props. These power packages deliver a top speed of 35 knots and an economical cruise of 25 knots.
At the helm is comfortable companion seating looking at a well laid out dash that contains twin engine instruments, a Garmin 4208 Chartplotter/w radar, and Raymarine VHF.
The cockpit is protected with a cockpit cover when not at sea and a full bimini camper package for cruising. The radar arch is foldable as is the radar dome.
Her electrical power requirements are met by both shore power and a 5KW Kohler generator with almost no hours.

Accommodations
The 290 sleeps up to 6 people in the air conditioned cabin with a large forward V-berth, a roomy mid-cabin berth and a convertible dinette. The cabin includes maple cabinetry and wood floors. Cabinets and drawers are secured with dual keeper sea latches. The cabin features an enclosed head with solid surface countertop, stainless steel sink, shower and a porcelain vacuflush head. The V-berth converts into a nice seating area with an electric telescopic maple table. Cabin also includes a mounted TV and a Bluetooth compatible Clarion stereo.
Mechanical Equipment
The 290 is quick and nimble and is powered by a pair of low hour (260 hours) Mercruiser MCM 5.0L MPI Seacore engines coupled with Mercruiser Bravo Three drives equipped with dual-rotating stainless steel props. Seacore engines have additional corrosion protection for salt water environments which includes a closed cooling system. The boat is also equipped with an integrated, low hour Kohler 5.0 kW generator. This boat is equipped with 3 batteries and an integrated battery charger/conditioner. It's also equipped with an electric bilge access hatch and a bilge automated fire suppression system.
Galley Equipment
The nicely appointed galley has classic wood accents, solid surface countertops and maple cabinetry. A stainless steel refrigerator, integrated electric cook top and microwave oven are also included.
Deck and Hull Equipment
This 290 is equipped with an integrated fiberglass radar arch with bimini tops and full camper canvas with eisenglass windows. The walkthrough windshield provides access to a bow sunpad and two stainless steel fender holders with 4 large fenders. Also included is a bow anchor with a dual control (bow and cockpit) electric windlass.
