$1,200 FOR A “COATING” OR PAINT PROTECTION PACKAGE… BUT WHAT DID YOU REALLY GET? 🤔
We recently had a customer bring us a vehicle after paying approximately $1,200 for a dealership paint protection package. He wanted us to verify what was actually protecting his paint.
Unfortunately, we encounter this situation all too often.
After years of professionally installing ceramic coatings and inspecting countless vehicles with dealership protection packages, we’ve repeatedly found little to no evidence of lasting protection.
Here’s something that might surprise you.
Many of the automotive paint sealants used at dealerships can be purchased for around $40 per GALLON.
The professional grade coating we install costs approximately $300 for just 100 mL.
That’s roughly $11,355 for a gallon’s worth of coating! 😳
Now, price alone doesn’t determine quality, and not every dealership uses the same products.
But there’s a HUGE difference between a temporary paint sealant (no different then what you can purchase at Walmart) and a professionally installed coating engineered to provide years of protection.
The product matters. The preparation matters. And the results matter.
We’re not against dealerships offering paint protection. We’re against customers spending hundreds or thousands of dollars without understanding what they’re actually receiving.
Before purchasing a dealership “coating” or paint protection package, ask exactly what product is being installed, how it’s being applied, and what protection it actually provides.
Because paying ceramic coating prices doesn’t necessarily mean you’re getting ceramic coating protection.
Have you ever purchased a dealership coating or paint protection package? What was it called?
