"Jeep is preparing to revive one of its most legendary names, and the new Scrambler could be the wildest version yet. Expected to arrive as a two-door pickup with retro-inspired styling, the 2028 Jeep Wrangler Scrambler is being designed for high-speed desert performance rather than traditional rock crawling.

At the top of the lineup, an SRT variant is rumored to feature the legendary 6.4-liter 392 HEMI V8, delivering at least 470 horsepower through an eight-speed automatic transmission. Unlike previous Wranglers, the Scrambler is also expected to adopt an independent front suspension setup, significantly improving stability and handling at speed.

The revival pays tribute to the original 1980s Scrambler while adding a longer cargo bed, modern performance hardware, removable roof panels, and a unique two-door, four-seat layout. Jeep reportedly moved forward with the project after years of enthusiast demand and strong reactions to several concept trucks showcased at Easter Jeep Safari events.

With expected pricing approaching six figures for the flagship SRT model, the Scrambler would serve as a halo vehicle for the brand. If production plans become reality, it could stand alone as one of the few compact V8-powered off-road trucks available, offering a unique blend of heritage, performance, and capability.

🚨 The Trailhawk is back… but not exactly how many Jeep enthusiasts expected.

According to Mopar Insiders, the 2027 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk returns after skipping the 2026 model year, bringing Jeep’s most off-road-focused Grand Cherokee trim back into the lineup. But instead of a HEMI or even the outgoing 4xe setup, Jeep is giving it the new Hurricane4 turbocharged engine producing 324 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque.

The Trailhawk still comes loaded with serious off-road hardware, including Quadra-Trac II 4WD, a two-speed transfer case, rear electronic limited-slip differential, Quadra-Lift air suspension, skid plates, TrailCam, and up to 11.4 inches of ground clearance. Jeep also claims a healthy 6,200-pound towing capacity.

While the new turbo-four actually makes more power and torque than the old Pentastar V6, many Mopar fans can’t help but wonder: what if Jeep dropped the Hurricane twin-turbo inline-six into the Trailhawk? That combination could create one of the most capable and exciting Grand Cherokees ever built.

For now, the Trailhawk remains focused on off-road capability rather than outright performance, but the return of the nameplate is still good news for Jeep enthusiasts.
