Holiday road trips are coming, and highway miles are hard on paint. Bugs, tar, and road film collect on the front end fast, and bug residue can etch clear coat if it bakes on in the sun. The longer it sits, the harder it is to remove without scrubbing.

Ceramic coating gives paint a slicker surface, which generally makes that residue easier to wash off before it does damage. It doesn't make a vehicle immune, and washing still matters after a long drive, but it changes how much effort cleanup takes.

If a lot of miles are part of your routine, coating may be worth asking about.

Faded black trim is one of the first things people notice on a sun-worn vehicle, and one of the easiest to overlook while it's happening slowly. Mirror housings, door handles, bumper trim, and plastic cladding take hours of direct Arizona sun every day, and that UV exposure can leave them looking chalky and gray.

Summer's over, and your paint just spent months under the Safford sun. Take a few minutes in good daylight and look at the surfaces that took the most direct exposure: the hood, roof, and trunk lid. Hazy gloss, rough patches, or spots that won't wash off are worth noticing.
