I have an immediate need for an experienced service tech. You should have experience in all common service procedures on cars and trucks, and specific experience with four wheel drive vehicles is a plus.

Typical jobs include all common repairs (brakes, cooling systems, alternators, wheel bearings, engine diagnostics etc.), suspension and steering modification, repair and diagnostics, transmission, transfer case and differential repair, and modifications (SYE, re-gears, lockers, etc.), restoration (usually '40's to '60's jeeps or FJ40's, as well as repair of even the most creative offroad damage.

Specialized 4WD has been servicing the four wheel drive community in Sacramento and the region for 35 years, and is primed to grow to the next level for those willing to do the work. If you want to be a part of this, call me and we'll talk. Joe- 916-381-6735.

We will be staying open and adjusting our day slightly to the necessities of social distancing, maintaining the required six feet spacing, have hand sanitizer and masks available as needed, and I already wash my hands a dozen times a day. The gate may be closed at times, so call, honk or yell and we'll come get you!

Things are happening fast, and we are all having to adjust our lives around the present emergency. I hope everyone is staying healthy and doing as well a possible under the circumstances.

Immediate need for an experienced Service Tech who has an interest in four-wheel-drive vehicles and the ability to work unsupervised on all typical automotive repairs, particularly suspension, steering, and driveline systems. "Typical" items include things like brake jobs, radiator/water pump replacement, replacing filters and gaskets, etc. Experience servicing ring-and-pinion gears is desirable.

We service all sorts of vehicles, but tend to attract Jeeps, Toyotas, and Dodge, Chevy and Ford trucks and SUV's. We repair, customize and restore vehicles from WWII jeeps to current modern vehicles and specialize in hard to solve issues as well as electrical systems problems/modifications.

If you have experience in, or an interest in learning about any of these areas, contact me asap. This is an immediate need.

Salary will be negotiated based on your abilities.

I have a request for you Jeep owners out there. I've had a customer, Dave, for a number of years that could use a little help with his transportation.
Dave is a really nice old guy who is wheelchair-bound, lives on what I perceive to be a limited fixed income, and has an old XJ that his son and various friends and neighbors use to get him around. I'm called in, typically a house call, when they can't figure out how to fix something, and Dave is always there with a few fresh $20's he tries to put in my hand.
The problem is, this Cherokee has passed the point that it's cost effective to keep it one the road... it's just falling apart. Worse than that, it's one of those early XJ's with a carbureted 2.8L V6 that won't pass smog anymore. Trying to bring these engines back up to standards just isn't cost effective.
So if anyone knows of a slightly newer Cherokee with a fuel injected 4.0 that can be make to work without too much work... doesn't need to be pretty... I'm sure it would make Dave's day.

I'll be closed Friday to help set up the for the CORVA annual meeting, which will be at Hollister Hills SVRA for the first time. Come on down if you want to learn about CORVA, or just want to watch me scape my Jeep through TankTrap, or try some of the new obstacles that have been constructed in the last few years! We'll be camping in "area 5".
