Yesterday turned out to be more of the day of rest than planned. While Jon eventually figured out the Keurig, Charlie was unable to find a barbershop open on Black Friday and wandered the city aimlessly on foot.

Reno Nevada USA appears to be an early adopter of hybrid and fully electric buses, which I got to witness on numerous occasions. They have an advantage that nobody speaks of, or at least emphasizes.

They are very quiet, which makes for a much more pleasant experience walking around the city, and if you happen to live on the bus route, it makes your days and nights much more peaceful.

We should be in Willows by early evening, if not sooner.

Another 800 miles done and down. Spending the night in Cheyenne Wyoming.

Tomorrow morning, we expect to start the trip to the Salt Flats in Utah to see something different and take a leisure day on Thursday making sure everything’s good on the rig and poking around.

We are keeping the Orion! After much testing, debate, planning, and thought, the EVSR Team has decided the Orion will be the ultimate EV tow vehicle. Pictured here you can see our final load test with a VW Beetle, a Dodge pick-up, and the trailer itself hitched for travel. The bus performed great! With a combined total test weight of 45,500 pounds (27,000 of that only bus) we have decided this will fit our needs for generators, chargers, battery packs, living space, and the ability to tow our EVSR racecars!
