🍂🚗 FALL IS HERE, AND WINTER ISN'T FAR BEHIND! ❄️
Before the holiday festivities begin and colder weather settles in, now is a great time to make sure your vehicle is ready for the season!
Here are a few maintenance items we recommend checking before temperatures start dropping! 👇
🌡️ COOLANT & HEATING SYSTEM
Your coolant does more than keep your engine from overheating, it also protects against freezing temperatures! If water has been added to your cooling system, the coolant may be too diluted to provide proper freeze protection, potentially causing expensive damage.
And nobody wants to discover their heat doesn't work on a freezing morning! 🥶 A restricted heater core or cooling system issue can leave you without proper heat when you need it most.
🔋 BATTERY & CHARGING SYSTEM
Cold weather can be tough on your battery! As temperatures drop, your battery loses some of its starting power, and an already weak battery may struggle to start your vehicle or fail completely.
🥶 Nobody wants to be stuck outside trying to jump start their vehicle in 10–30 degree weather!
Having your battery and charging system tested before the cold sets in can help catch potential problems early and save you from being stranded on a freezing morning!
🛞 TIRE TREAD & CONDITION
Rain, slush, and slick roads are no match for worn-out tires! Proper tread depth is important for maintaining traction and helping prevent hydroplaning.
Need new tires? We have access to a wide variety of brands and sizes, with many available for next-day delivery!
🛻 4 WHEEL DRIVE SYSTEMS
We may not get much snow here in the South, but when we do, you definitely want your 4WD working! ❄️
Making sure your 4WD system engages and disengages properly, along with checking the condition and levels of your transfer case and differential fluids, can help prevent unexpected problems when you need that extra traction most.
🌧️ WINDSHIELD WIPERS
With the days getting shorter, driving in the dark becomes a lot more common. Add rain, glaring headlights, and streaky windshield wipers, and visibility can become a real safety concern!
Replacing worn wiper blades is a simple, inexpensive way to make those rainy evening drives a little safer and less stressful.
🔧 A little preventative maintenance now can help save you from unexpected repairs and headaches later!
Whether you're getting ready for holiday travels, heading up into the mountains, or just making your daily commute, we want to help keep you safe and comfortable on the road!
