Apparently despite being in business for nearly 10 years I have only 6 google reviews and they average out to a 3.7. The two negative reviewers are not even customers. Ugh. I don't put value in reviews personally as they are usually there by bribery and frankly most people love to over embellish and sound important over matters they know little about. If you are unfamiliar, many businesses offer "discounts" for the review. Regardless, I've only asked for one review till now and I felt so dirty asking I didn't ask again. I was millimeters away from deleting my google business profile to avoid all this nonsense before it was brought to my attention it would erase all the work we did lately with internet search results. Therefore, if you were customer and appreciated our work then please offer a short review. I'd like to get the rating up as the 3.7 rating is obviously not good, and I'd hate to lose out on a good customer.

At the end of the day I consider the market my review. I haven't had a day without work for nearly three years, even through the winter. We stay scheduled out pretty far and frankly I can't keep up with the estimate requests (To those people I've failed to connect with I am truly sorry and please don't take it personally). Lastly, I responded to both negative reviewers and put my side of the story out. If you need some humor in your life read my response to Brandon. For those who truly know me, he got off easy.

UPDATE: I guess Brandon from Bedford didn’t like my response and pulled it down pretty quickly. Hence my quick rise in rating. (Quick thanks to all those who promptly jumped in with reviews so quickly). However, since he wrote it and it lingered on my reviews for a year, forcing me to do something I hate so much it compelled me into early retirement from the Marines; sit in front of a computer and write. My response will be posted here to live in Facebook eternity. His one star rating claimed I parked my trailer in front of his driveway and cussed him out. My response is below.

It’s unfortunate you felt the need to make this an issue. It is a year later and I honestly still feel you were completely out of line. On a Saturday morning your neighbor, two houses down from you, had a third of her tree resting on her roof. This broken portion was precariously balanced horizontally on the roof and still barely attached to the tree. At the time of you and your wife’s interruption I had just performed the undercut with my pole saw while my employee was gripping the nearly 2000 pound branch complex with the excavator arm. It was the worst possible time to interrupt me as there were serious concerns the excavator could not hold the weight. Your claim was my trailer was blocking your driveway and your wife couldn’t get out of the driveway to go to work. I did not supervise the parking of the trailer as my employee did it after he unloaded the excavator so I entertained your “concern” and started walking with you to your house. Realizing it was the wrong decision to leave my employee in that situation knowing the branch could potentially break off at any moment I was a little tense. As I was walking down I could see my trailer was parked across from your driveway into the grass shoulder leaving at least a lane and a half open for you to get out. Your road is a dead end road, barely over a quarter mile, with multiple houses on it. It is near impossible to park anything there, let alone large amounts of equipment, without being in the vicinity of a driveway entrance. After seeing the absurdity of your claim and realizing any licensed driver could easily navigate the situation with a full size vehicle I politely played along and asked if I could get the vehicle out of your driveway for you. At this very suggestion both you and your wife went full “Karen mode,” snapping off all kinds of insults and absurdities. My patience was completely diminished at this point. I did indeed return verbal fire with profanity and I immediately started rapidly going back to my employee. You made several verbal threats after I was well out of reach implying a desire for physical altercation. I found that even more absurd than your first false claim and just ignored you. After the we successfully got the branch complex off the house I sent my employee down with the truck to move the trailer. I was not surprised to learn your wife already managed to get out of the driveway on her own without assistance with her SUBCOMPACT car. The sad reality is we moved the trailer right up on the edge of your 93 year old neighbor’s driveway making it challenging for her to get out of her driveway. The irony is further compounded by the fact she backed all the way out of here driveway later with the trailer there and didn’t miss a beat. And, to think this story is not over. You then felt the need to call my business number assuming I was just some employee and lectured my voicemail that an employee of mine blocked your driveway and then swore at you. As if you were just getting warmed up, you then proceeded to call Bedford Sheriff’s office with your complaint. I was not privy to your conversation, however, the deputy and I had a pleasant conversation about the situation. I apologized for his precious time and service to the community being taken up for such absurdities, and I acknowledged he surely had more important and pressing police matters to attend to.

Best to leave storm damage to the professionals, especially if it’s still “tied” up with the tree. Most men are more than eager to be the helpful hero however you accept the liability once you start.
