This project started with a simple goal: build a clean, functional weekender van that could handle regular trips to Florida starting in February. Nothing over the top, just smart design, solid craftsmanship, and features that make travel easier and more comfortable.
It began as a 3D model. That model turned into measurements, cuts, and long days in the shop. Every cabinet, every panel, every piece of trim was built and fitted specifically for this layout.
The cabinetry is fully custom no prefab boxes. Just strong, clean lines, leather pulls, and storage that actually makes sense in a small space. The fiberglass cladding was another big part of the build: hand‑laid, shaped, and finished to create durable, lightweight components that tie the whole interior together.
The kitchen is compact but practical, with butcher block counters, a deep sink, and a slide‑out fridge for easy access on the road. The raised bed platform gives Russ and Kim plenty of storage underneath while keeping the sleeping area simple and comfortable.
Now that it’s finished, the van is exactly what it was meant to be a reliable, well‑built weekender ready for miles of highway and warm Florida trips.
