🎡 ’Twas the Night Before the Iowa State Fair Ends… 🏕️

’Twas the night before Fair’s end, and all through the campgrounds,
The campers grew quieter… with just a few sounds.
The awnings were rolled and the coolers packed tight,
And our RV crew hoped for a much calmer night. 😂
For two solid weeks, through the heat, mud and fair,
Family First Mobile RV has been right there.
From morning till evening — and sometimes into the night —
Patrick & Keith kept going and making things right.
Air conditioners, water leaks, refrigerators too,
Water heaters, electrical — we’ve seen quite a few!
Rooftops to climb and tight spaces below,
And places we’re certain no human should go. 😂
Through sunshine and rain, through the mud and the muck,
Our amazing techs grabbed their tools, golf cart and trucks.
They’ve climbed and they’ve crawled from morning till night,
With tired feet and dirty knees, getting fixes just right.
But behind every tech with a wrench in his hand,
There’s their wives (Rachel and Karen), always attempting a plan.
The phones keep on ringing, the schedules kept changing,
While somehow they keep all the service calls arranging.
They’ve answered the texts, tracked parts far and near,
And coordinated the chaos that comes with the Fair.
They’ve battled with warranties and insurance companies too,
And argued customer cases a time… or even a few. 😏
Now… while much of our world has revolved around the Fair,
Our Des Moines area customers still needed some RV care.
So we send special big THANK YOU out to our tech, Bill,
Who’s been helping outside of the crazy Fairgrounds still. ❤️
Now somehow we’ve made it to ONE DAY TO GO!
But tomorrow could bring us a whole different show… (Because tomorrow is MOVE-OUT DAY for thousands!)😳
“My slide won’t come in!”
“My landing gear’s stuck!”
“My jacks won’t come up!”
…so wish us some luck! 😂
We’ll still be here helping wherever we can,
Getting campers safe & ready — that’s still the plan.
And sometime much later, if everything’s going alright,
Maybe our own equipment will finally leave the site!
So yes, we’re exhausted.
Our trucks need a bath.
Our tools need reorganized.
And our laundry situation is well… really pretty bad. 😂
But underneath all the jokes, exhaustion and grime,
There’s something we’ll remember about these two weeks of time.

To Fair memories made and worn-out work shoes.
