🚨 Even a Honda can’t survive neglect forever.

Honda has earned a reputation for building some of the most reliable, longest-running vehicles on the road. But reliable doesn’t mean maintenance-free.

What you’re looking at here is coolant contamination in the engine oil. That’s something you definitely don’t want to find during a service. When coolant and oil start mixing, engine lubrication can be compromised—and what could have been routine maintenance can quickly turn into a much bigger repair.

This Honda was supposed to be one of those vehicles that “runs forever.”

The problem? It was neglected.

A trouble code is a starting point—not a diagnosis. 🔧

This scanner is showing a P2681 code, but reading the code is only the first step. The next step is figuring out why the vehicle set that code.

Too often, repairs turn into a guessing game: read a code, replace the part mentioned, clear the light, and hope for the best. If that doesn’t work, replace another part. That gets expensive fast—and it doesn’t fix the actual problem.

At our shop, we believe in TESTING, not guessing.

That means checking the system, verifying power and ground, inspecting wiring and connections, looking at live data, performing component tests, and following the evidence until we find the actual failure.

A code tells us where to start looking. Proper testing tells us what actually needs to be fixed.
