Nissan Pathfinder other shop inspected a few weeks prior to brake failure. Had they actually inspected the brakes it would have been CLEARLY evident the brakes were not “fine”. This cost the customer $ due to rotor replacement as the bad shoes chewed them up.

Unfortunately there are times when a part requires change although appearing to be fine. In this particular instance the clip that hold the rotor in place while on the assembly line was covering damage caused by IMPACT GUNS USED AT TIRE SHOPS resulting in over tightening and uneven torque. Left unchanged, this would have developed into a larger hole compromising the position of the rotor resulting in jerking and a serious safety condition.

Full brake job with some unexpected twists. Notice anything odd about the two lug studs that are silver vs. black? I did, so I called the customer. Customer had them replaced about a year ago. Unfortunately they used the rotor as a base instead of removing it and using the wheel hub. That's why the rotor cracked...

Be careful who you bring your vehicle to for repairs. Not all shops are the same and care about your vehicles as much as you do.

2007 Honda Accord - mouse decided the fuel injector wiring was a nice snack on a cold evening... If your check engine light starts flashing, STOP DRIVING ASAP!!! Engine has gone in to limp mode to protect itself.
