🔧 Kicking off the 26/27 School Year with a Look Inside the Industry🏎️

One of our first CTE experiences of the new school year took our CTE teachers outside the classroom and into the state-of-the-art service facility at Genesis of Round Rock.

A big thank you to Service Manager Paul Medina and his team for opening their doors and giving us a firsthand look at their operation.

One of the biggest takeaways? Technology, organization and professionalism. 👍👍

From the moment a customer enters the service lane, technology is already at work — including equipment that checks vehicle alignment as the vehicle drives into the service entrance.
Inside the shop, we found state-of-the-art equipment, exceptionally organized tools and an incredibly clean, well-maintained workspace.

Genesis technicians receive specialized training to work on vehicles and just as impressive was the culture — friendly, professional and clearly focused on customer service.

Experiences like this keep our instructors connected to today’s automotive industry and help us bring current technology, expectations and career opportunities back into the classroom.

What an incredible week in Corpus Christi for our students at the SkillsUSA competitions!

From the opening moments to the closing ceremonies
(what a view 👏), this trip was one to remember!
Our students competed at a high level and also represented our program with professionalism, teamwork, and pride.

We had the chance to explore a bit too—touring the USS Lexington was definitely a highlight for everyone.

SkillsUSA is a national organization that helps to empower students to become skilled professionals, career-ready leaders and responsible community members—we saw exactly that in action.

We’re proud to share that our students brought home several awards even more importantly, they gained experience, confidence, and great memories.
We are proud of this student-led program and the hard work that goes into it every day.

And just like that… we’re already getting started on next year’s projects! 💪

Proud Moments for our Round Rock HS Automotive Technology Students and their families!

Congratulations 🙌
We are so proud of our RRHS Auto Tech students for their hard work and dedication to this CTE competition. They put their teamwork, problem-solving skills, and technical knowledge to the test—and it paid off with multiple medals won! 🏅

This week they showcased their expertise at SkillsUSA, the nation’s premier CTE workforce development program.

After months of dedication, hands-on learning, and hard work, these talented young upcoming professionals are proving their skills in real-world CTE automotive challenges.
Their teamwork, problem-solving abilities and technical skills were put to the test, and they brought home multiple medals! 🏅

This kind of success doesn’t happen overnight. Mr. Wilk and Mr. Gonzales have had the privilege of working with these students, putting in countless extra hours to train, mentor and prepare them for this competition and their future careers. Seeing their growth and passion for the automotive industry is inspiring.

Whether it’s diagnosing engine issues, perfecting precision repairs, or demonstrating leadership in the shop, these students are setting themselves up for bright futures in the automotive field and beyond.

We worked on this donated Chevy to get a training aid out of it for important component ID studies.
✅ Removed the subframe.
✅ Engine.
✅ Transmission.
✅ Steering and suspension components.
