David, our resident Jeep specialist fixed another one. This was tricky with a common outcome.
Misfire cylinder number 5 DTC.
After verifying all the basics and even inspecting for a broken valve spring he then connected the lab scope to the CPS. While it’s a very common failure part the symptoms did not seem to coincide. But the lab scope showed an irratic pattern initially. After changing out the CPS he then had a very steady square wave pattern. Nice work Dave! We don’t just throw parts at cars. We do our best to pinpoint the failure with testing and hard data. The video shows the good wave pattern.
