WP fork service after about ~40-50 hrs on a KTM with a sticky, still original oil in them.

Don't wait untill they start leaking. Maintain every ~ 35-40 hours if you're a hard enduro rider. Change the oil after the first 10-15hrs since new from the factory. Keep them clean, keep them fresh to get 100% out of them while you're on the trail. During that ~40 hours, make sure to periodically clean the area between the dust and main seals and BLEED the forks before EVERY ride.
