I want to take a moment to remember the fallen on September 11th, 2001. I have written quite a few memorial poems for this date, however as my mind is strained with work, I am pulling one I wrote some years ago. I only wish this country could come together like they did following the events of that day. I PRAY we can someday become ONE nation, under God, again...

A single column leans,
the first wall has fallen.
In the grim dark streets,
people begin to crawlin,
In a horrid cloud of dust,
so many loved ones lost.
As the events unfolded,
no one could know the cost.
The majestic New York skyline,
will never be the same.
The towers are now gone,
extinguished like a flame.
Could it be an accident?
Sadly, we would learn,
much to our dismay,
intentional, the towers burned,
3000 people on this day,
would gasp for their last breath.
The cloud where once the towers stood,
now takes the shape of death.
The streets are filled with heroes
the survivors, aimless, roam,
Responders saved all they could,
Jesus took the others home.
The souls that gained their wings,
years later we still remember.
The travesty that slammed this nation,
on the 11th of September!

The voices in my head
become visions in my mind.
Revealing hidden memories
from another place and time.

The darkness once forgotten,
now returns to torment me.
Happens without a warning,
seems I'll never be set free.

The fire in the distance,
it once lived inside my soul.
Now smoldering, no embers,
just a chunk of useless coal.

I hear my comrades screams,
I see their faces in the night.
There is no sleep for me,
I must stay "ready" for the fight!

This time the enemy is me,
the only win would be my loss.
Why did I make it out alive,
seems it is my solemn albatross.

Upon this earth is where I stand,
sending out, perhaps my final call...
I want to thank each of you whom served,
all gave some while some gave all...

Please remember the fallen heroes this weekend, and every day for that matter, without them, their would be NO us!!!
Sidenote: Once again, I did not serve during any wars, these are my renditions of the mighty soldiers that have, and gave their all, whether during the battles or after losing to their demons after returning home!

May each of you have a great Memorial day! Love to ya!

We have our new office, separate from the shop, now functioning. Hopefully this will mean a better customer experience, and make my insurance company happy. Thank you all for putting up with the noise and the grease of the "old way" for 47 years. 🤣🤣🤣

It seems that it has been a year of some very fine people leaving this earthly presence and I just found out one of our long time customers passed on to a better place Friday. Raymond Absher, sir, you will be missed greatly here by all of us, you were much more than a customer, you were a friend and family to us. I want to send my condolences and prayers to his family and friends at this time.

Also keep in your prayers, the family of David Justice, from Jerry's Used cars and parts as he moved on to his new home within the Heavenly gates as well last week.

There are more that I would like to mention, we are missing quite a few friends this year, going back to the end of last year.

Ladies and gentlemen.. this is a public service announcement! If you drive through any of these flood waters, even as low as 4" of water can enter your air intake system, allowing it to enter the engine and do serious damage, costly damage. Please do NOT drive through these flood waters. It could be YOUR life and not your vehicle!!! Please be aware, many county roads have been closed, EMA is asking the public to only drive if absolutely necessary.
