Pure Stock V-8 Racers
It's that time again! Time for us to put on a money race!
Fastrack Designs along with a host of other sponsors are looking to put on another big money race on Friday night, October 15th at County Line Raceway. This will be the feature race on Friday night at the annual Race for the Kids weekend!
This will be a (30 lap) Feature race. We will have a practice session (2 if time allows) All cars will qualify for position. There will be a pill draw for inversion (based on car count) We will also have double file restarts until lap #20, then we will go single file the rest of the way.
I have spent a couple weeks getting input from drivers, promoters, tire reps and tech men. And what we have come up with is this.
(Keep in mind that there are a lot of discreferencies between the tire and engine rules from CLR and HCMS, as well as most other tracks in this area.) That being said, here we go!
First of all, we will be running an "Open" tire rule!
This way, no one will be forced to buy tires for one race! ** Notice** Tires will be marked after qualifying. You must race on the same tires that you qualify on! (Spares must be the same)
Second thing, CLR cars will be running by CLR rules!
We will be teched by the same rules that we have run all season. (No exceptions)
Third thing, HCMS will be running by HCMS rules!
They will be teched by the same rules that they have run all season. ( No exceptions)
However, due to the difference in engines, HCMS cars must weigh (3400 pounds) with (50 pounds) mounted in front of the firewall. Weight must be painted white, with car # marked on it. It will be subject to removal and weighed by the tech man after race.
We will have Mr. Gary Wilson as the Tech man for this event. He will be teching as he sees fit and his word is final. There will be no exceptions!
Last year, we were able to build a pot up to $1200 to win, plus a $300 cash bonus to the winner by Atwell Exterior Services Llc.
This year we are hoping to expand on that and increase the payout throughout the entire field! So, if anyone would like to come on board and help sponsor this race, please contact me asap.
I look forward to seeing everyone on October 15th, and let's see who's the best PSV8 racer around here!
