About Us
Rocky Mount Radiator & A/C is a trusted name in radiator repair, re-coring, and automotive/heavy-duty cooling system services. We've built our reputation on quality workmanship and reliable customer relationships, and we're looking for a driven Outside Sales Representative to help us grow our customer base and strengthen existing partnerships.
Position Overview
We're seeking a motivated, self-managed sales professional to drive new business development and manage relationships with our established accounts. This role is ideal for someone who thrives with autonomy, enjoys building relationships face-to-face, and is comfortable owning their territory from prospecting to close.
What You'll Do
Develop and manage an efficient sales route to maximize face time with prospects and existing customers
Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities within the local and regional market, including fleet operators, repair shops, dealerships, agricultural and industrial accounts, and other potential commercial customers
Schedule and conduct in-person sales meetings and site visits
Maintain and grow relationships with established accounts, ensuring consistent communication and service satisfaction
Understand customer needs and match them with our radiator repair, re-coring, and A/C service offerings
Track leads, appointments, and account activity to keep the sales pipeline organized and up to date
Represent Rocky Mount Radiator & A/C professionally in the field, acting as the face of the company to customers and prospects
Collaborate with internal teams (shop, service, and management) to ensure smooth handoff of new business and accurate turnaround expectations
Stay informed on local market trends, competitor activity, and opportunities for growth
What We're Looking For
Self-starter who can manage their own schedule, territory, and time with minimal supervision
Proven outside sales experience preferred; automotive, fleet, industrial, or related B2B sales experience a strong plus
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
Comfortable with cold outreach, networking, and building a pipeline from scratch
Well-organized, with the ability to plan efficient routes and manage multiple accounts
Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
Basic mechanical/automotive knowledge helpful, but not required — willingness to learn our services is a must
Strong communication skills, both in person and via phone/email
Results-driven mindset with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals
