With broken hearts, we share the passing of our beloved John Sr. — known fondly as Big John, Johnny Fine, John the Baker, and simply Dad and Papap. On morning of June 6 he was welcomed into the arms of the Lord.

John was so many things to so many people: a devoted husband, a loving father, a proud grandfather, a cherished brother, a caring father-in-law, a respected boss, a kind neighbor, and a loyal friend. He was also an extraordinary baker whose passion fed the hearts and bellies of thousands — from the early days at Johnny Fines to his decades as the Executive Pastry Chef at Seven Springs.

To say he will be missed is an understatement. John was the steady, joyful spirit at the heart of our family. His positivity, warmth, and encouragement shaped our lives more than words can express. We weren’t just blessed — we were abundantly blessed to have him.

He loved sweets, he loved playing his guitar, and above all, he loved his wife, his three children, and his four grandchildren with his whole heart.

His legacy of love, laughter, and sweet creations will live on in all of us.
