Getting preapproved DOES NOT mean you have to use that bank or credit union.

That’s not the point.

Your preapproval gives you a ceiling rate before you ever start talking financing with the dealership.

Approved at 6.25%?

Great.

Now the dealership has a choice:

Beat 6.25% and earn your financing…

Or you use the approval you already have.

Either way, YOU win.

Without a preapproval, you’re walking into the dealership hoping the rate they show you is competitive.

With one, you already know what you can get.

And if the dealership comes back at 5.49%? Perfect. Take the better rate.

A preapproval isn’t a commitment.

It’s leverage.

Negotiate the vehicle.
Protect the trade.
Know your financing options.

Then let the dealership compete for your business.

That’s how you buy a car from a position of strength.

Your credit score absolutely matters when you lease a vehicle… but it’s not the only thing that matters.

I’ve seen leases approved with credit scores around 500. That doesn’t mean a 500 score qualifies for every lease program. In those situations, strong previous auto loan or lease payment history can make a HUGE difference.

Here’s the general landscape:

Around 650–680: This is where many lease programs start becoming more accessible, depending on the manufacturer, lender and overall credit profile.

700+: You’re generally getting into stronger approval territory with access to better programs and potentially better money factors.

720–750+: This is typically where you want to be if you’re trying to qualify for the manufacturer’s best available lease tiers.

And remember: the MONEY FACTOR is essentially the interest component of your lease.

Two people can lease the exact same $50,000 vehicle, negotiate the exact same selling price, and still have very different payments because they qualify for different money factors.

That’s why I always say: negotiate the CAR first.

Know the selling price.
Know the incentives.
Know the residual.
Know the money factor.
Then understand how YOUR credit profile affects the final payment.

Credit matters. But knowing how the entire lease is structured matters too.

18 months ago, we posted our very first video announcing The 615 Negotiator.

We had a vision to make the car buying process easier, more transparent, and less stressful for everyday people.

18 months later, we’ve had the privilege of helping so many families and friends buy and lease vehicles, save money, and feel confident throughout the process.

We are incredibly thankful for every person who has trusted us to represent them and for every single person who has supported this business along the way.

Every like, comment, share, follow, recommendation, and word of encouragement has helped us get here.

Most importantly, we are thankful for the path God has us on, the doors He has opened, and everything still ahead.

It’s amazing to look back at where this started just 18 months ago.

And we believe we’re only getting started.

Thank you for being part of the journey.

This is unfortunately the life of a small business owner and especially that of a restaurant owner who leases space and is subject to break downs and/or repairs that are outside their control.

Let’s come together and overwhelm Boro Bowls with support as soon as they open.

Typically, they will re-open Tuesday morning assuming the repairs take place.

Let’s take care of those who pour so much in to our community!!

Danielle said it best…

“NOT ONCE.”

Not once did she step foot inside a dealership to buy her brand new 2027 Infiniti QX60 Luxe.

We negotiated an incredible lease deal, handled the dealership communication, worked through the numbers, and got everything put together remotely.

Danielle signed the paperwork from home.

Her new QX60 was delivered directly to her house.

And now she gets to enjoy the fun part: the new car.

This is what car buying can look like when someone is representing YOU through the process.

No sitting in a dealership for hours.
No back and forth across the desk.
No wondering whether you got a good deal.

Negotiated. Protected. Handled.

Want your next vehicle purchase or lease handled like this?

Drop “HELP” in the comments and I’ll personally reach out.

Not every dealership call goes the way you expect.

I called an independent dealership about a preowned truck, and before I ever had to dig for the truth, the gentleman told me straight up:

The truck is extremely clean, BUT it has a transmission issue.

No games. No “come on in and we’ll talk about it.” No hoping I wouldn’t notice until we were further into the deal.

Just honesty.

I talk a lot about what needs to change in the car business, so I also think it’s important to give credit when someone does it RIGHT.

Transparency isn’t telling the customer what you want them to know. It’s telling them what they NEED to know to make an informed decision.

This guy did exactly that.

Not all of my dealership calls go this way. I wish more did.
