R and R Performance

R and R Performance Repair, Customize, Restore, Design, Fabricate, Anodize, Exhaust, Audio, Performance/Racing, ANYTHING! By appointment. fuel injection systems install and tuning.

We have decided to open things back up to performance and custom work. There's nothing we can't build/fix....but there are some things we don't want to do. We are a custom and performance shop, specializing in custom or restoration builds. We are not an oil change shop...but sometimes can make exceptions šŸ˜‰. We live for the challenging jobs and projects. And sometimes the ones nobody else can seem

to get working. Bikes, cars, boats, sleds...it's all doable😁
we build or fix anything performance and custom fabrication. forced induction. anything you can think of.

I was always taught that self-promotion wasn’t really a good thing, so I’ve honestly always had a hard time posting about ourselves or recommending our own business when people ask for suggestions for work.

Proverbs 27:2 says:
ā€œLet another praise you, and not your own mouth; a stranger, and not your own lips.ā€

The challenge for us is that most of our longtime customers are either:

• Not local
• Not on Facebook

Because of that, most of our business over the years has come through word of mouth, with only a few people finding us through Google or social media. We’ve also had many newer customers tell us we should advertise more and post more of what we do.

Truthfully, we haven’t advertised much because we’ve usually stayed booked up and behind on larger projects. But with our current situation and future plans for growth, we need to start bringing in more quick repair and maintenance work while also meeting new customers and expanding.

So moving forward, we’ll be posting and advertising our services a bit more on social media.

In the past, we’ve even told regular customers to only recommend us to close friends and family. But we also see a lot of posts from people looking for services and not realizing what’s actually available locally.

So if you know someone looking for work that falls within what we do, please feel free to recommend us.

And honestly… the range of services we offer is pretty broad.

We truly appreciate all the support, referrals, and word of mouth over the years. It means more than you know.

The downfall of some parts no matter how expensive or nice they look is when the looking cool aspect was worried about more than the mechanical engineering aspect. A good example are these rather expensive s30 (240z) hood hinges. Barrel bolts work a certain way, they act as a set dimension when tightened for a bushing area etc. these will never stay tight or do what they were designed for. One way to remedy this is using longer barrel bolts, sadly whoever designed them did not take into account easily available sizes of barrels. So now it comes to getting longer barrels and machining each one to the proper length....14 times....or making 14 small spacers ...regardless the time to get them to work "properly" takes an already $500 purchase price set of hinges to well over $800 by the time you modify them to work and Install them. This makes even more of a challenge explaining the cost to install them.

We Rebuild anything, have an out of production aftermarket transfercase? No problem. Have to use the best parts from 2 to make one? No problem there either. Almost zero documentation or specs available? Doesn't matter, machines are machines 😁. Bonus point if anyone knows what the smaller inner circle of 6 Allen grub screws on the round covers do šŸ¤”

🚨 IMPORTANT UPDATE FOR ALL CURRENT, PAST, AND FUTURE CUSTOMERS 🚨

I want to be upfront and set some clear expectations moving forward:

šŸ“ž No Calls on Saturdays or Sundays
I won’t be following up with any calls over the weekend—please respect this time. The phone will be on Do Not Disturb during the weekend.

šŸ“… Calls Monday through Friday Need to Be Scheduled
Text me to check my availability, and we’ll set up a time to talk. I can’t always answer right away, but I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.

šŸ“² If I Don’t Respond to Your Text
It’s because I’m likely busy. The shop is loud, and I don’t always hear my phone. I’ll get back to you when I can.

šŸ“© Email is Also One of the Better Ways to Communicate for Project Updates or Inquiries
If you need to reach me for anything project-related or have questions, email is a great way to communicate.

🚫 If You Call and I Don’t Answer, Send a Text
If I don’t get a text, I’ll assume it wasn’t urgent.

Here’s Why I’m Setting These Boundaries:

My workload is out of control, and finding people who can meet a profitable production rate has been a huge challenge. I’ve been unable to find help that can work at the speed and efficiency I need without compromising quality. Bottom line: If I’m on the phone all day, I’m not getting work done—parts to build, cars to fix, projects to finish.

I’m dealing with a high volume of calls, texts, and DMs every day, and I simply can’t keep up. I’m grateful for everyone who wants to do business with me, but I need to focus on staying productive, not answering the phone constantly.

šŸ—£ļø On Hiring a Receptionist:
It wouldn’t really solve much, as all calls would still need to be transferred to me for pricing, custom work, and specific questions.

Lastly, weekends are for family time and catching up on work without distractions. I won’t be answering calls then. If that means losing some business, I’m okay with that. I need the time to recharge and focus on the work

Thanks for understanding. I appreciate your support!
